The bees were amazing today. I think that I would not be in any way exaggerating to say that there are now at least 100,000 bees up there now. They have been very very busy, and the hives were teaming this morning. Benton came over, and was honestly shocked at how many little ladies there were in there, working away. One hive had tons of actual rice-size eggs, and we saw the Queen in all her glory. The other hive seems to be on a different rhythm as we saw many larval bees, but no tiny eggs. We all sucked on a lot of honey- filled honeycomb, and Andrew and Elijah both got stung two times each. We believe that the venom in the sting, is really the elixir of life, and that getting a bee sting, is actually a blessing, especially since the bee sacrifices herself for her home , her sisters, and mother when she stings you.
